I’m Renata Sene, a Toronto-based mural artist who traded blueprints for paintbrushes after my second child arrived.
My Journey from Architect to Mural Artist
During the pandemic, I spent countless hours drawing and colouring with my kids — and something magical happened.
It all began when my son kept begging for “colourful walls” in his bedroom. So, when it was time for him to share the space with his little sister, I decided to make it special and give him all the colours he wanted. Little did I know I’d fall completely in love with transforming walls into joyful, feel-good spaces — and moreover, that I’d get to bring that same magic to other families’ homes and businesses.
Having lived in Brazil for most of my life, I was always surrounded by vibrant energy. However, only after moving to Canada did I truly realize how much those colours had shaped my mood and outlook. In fact, I truly believe colours play a powerful role in our everyday lives — for instance, they trigger feelings, bring back memories, and create positive associations that make a space feel like home.
That’s why my goal is simple: to bring happy, memorable experiences into your space — whether through a one-of-a-kind custom mural, peel-and-stick wallpaper, or playful decals that add instant joy without the commitment.
