This project proves you don’t need a perfectly empty wall to have a mural — often, the trickiest walls are the ones that benefit the most.
The client wanted to bring a soothing, calming feeling to their patrons. It’s a Toronto endoscopy clinic, where people arrive not feeling their best: they’ve been fasting, they’re anxious, and they have to bring someone along to wait for them during the procedure.
Healthcare spaces benefit from custom art in deeply meaningful ways. Colour activates emotion, a thoughtful mural distracts us in moments of discomfort, and hand-painted art humanizes a space that would otherwise feel sterile and clinical.
Having a client with this level of care for their patients was a privilege. Every colour and design choice in this healthcare mural was made to evoke calm, wonder, and imagination in anxious patients — offering them an unexpected art experience exactly when they need it most.
